Solving problems and making decisions are inevitably linked. Common blockages to problem solving and decision making are illustrated using participative training exercises and 'vignettes' drawn from cinema and training videos.
Accepting responsibility and risk is part of the decision making process and uncertainty is an inevitable partner of problem solving is highlighted. We emphasise how to maximise the benefits of involving others and how to learn from the outcomes of decisions in a positive way. A range of techniques for releasing the creativity and innovative capacity of individuals and work teams is demonstrated.
