Redundancy Counselling

This programme runs as an in-house or off-site process for people in organisations who are facing the prospect of job loss or career change through redundancy.

Each element of the programme has been developed carefully over the years in the light of much experience in a variety of industries, and each aspect of our work is constantly reviewed to meet the highest professional standards to be expected of Chartered Psychologists. It is recommended that we be involved at the earliest stage possible so as to prepare a focused programme to suit the particular needs of those involved. The programme begins with a very supportive approach, and gradually and naturally moves towards a more challenging approach as the course reaches the final stages.

The programme is implemented in four stages:

Stage 1 : Introduction of the programme, questions and discussion meeting with the group.

Stage 2 : Working in small 'Support Teams,' each group will take part in Assessment, Personal Insights and Training.

Stage 3 : Financial advice and guidance; Legal aspects of the redundancy situation; Career development and training action plan

Stage 4 : On-going individual support after the programme. This process is established at the very beginning of the programme and is designed to provide an 'aftercare' service to ensure an optimal result for each participant.

"Sometimes an unwelcome change forces us to create something different for ourselves – once we overcome the adversity and begin to achieve in a new way, we more often recognize that things are better than before."
